Note: Exact counts and locations can change with patches. Track wins at the Karakura progress NPC ("V - Unequalled, Unrivaled"), use mentor or spirit dialogue for stage checks, and rely on the latest in-game prompts if a public guide and the live build disagree.
Shinigami
Sword-focused combat that unlocks Shikai and later Bankai. Grade 2 is your first milestone.
Shikai – How to unlock
- Reach Grade 2 via missions (division quests help from Grade 2 upward).
- Meditate three times (about 5–7 minutes each).
- Meditate a fourth time to enter your Inner World.
- Defeat your Zanpakutō spirit to unlock Shikai.
- Press E to equip and J to activate Shikai.
Tip: Meditate somewhere safe (e.g., inside tree leaves) to avoid interruptions.
Bankai – Three-stage path
- Stage 1 – Wins: ~13 raid wins; clan war win counts as 2; ranked win counts as 0.5. Check progress at the Karakura NPC named “V - Unequalled, Unrivaled” near the grey barn.
- Stage 2 – No-death set: 50 Hollow NPC kills + 10 Elite enemy grips (opposite race) + 1 World Boss kill. Talk to your Shikai spirit to verify progress.
- Stage 3 – Trial: Meditate, speak to your spirit again to start the Bankai boss fight. Defeat it to unlock Bankai (a Bankai bar appears).
Note: You may need to interact with your spirit multiple times before it responds for progress checks.
Optional: Vizard
- At Elite Grade, use 10 Hogyoku Fragments, go to Hueco Mundo, find your Vizard NPC and grip it.
- Follow the whispers/quest to obtain your Vizard Mask.
- Complete one of: Win 3 raids with mask on, grip 20 Soul Reapers, or grip NPCs in Inner World.
Arrancar
Evolve as a Hollow (Fishbone → Menos → Adjuchas → Vasto Lorde), then remove your mask to become an Arrancar and unlock Resurrección.
Hollow evolution – fast notes
- Fishbone → Menos: defeat AI Hollows and grip their remains to evolve.
- Menos: either rip mask now (becomes Menoscar, not recommended) or evolve to Adjuchas (kill another Menos).
- Adjuchas: collect mask cracks from Adjuchas AI/players (e.g., 2 from NPC, 1 from player; dying removes some). Become Albino Adjuchas → defeat another Albino or a spawned Vasto NPC to reach Vasto Lorde.
- Vasto Lorde: strongest Hollow form; rip mask here for best Arrancar base stats.
Partial Resurrección
- Reach Grade 2.
- Talk to Harribel once to receive a Pink Orb.
- Complete the Obby to unlock Partial Res.
Full Resurrección – Three-stage path
- Stage 1 – Wins: accumulate raid/ranked/ clan wins.
- Stage 2 – No-death set: without dying, complete 50 Hollow NPC kills, 10 Elite grips (opposite faction), and 1 World Boss (e.g., Bawabawa or Jidanbo). Track in the Unrivaled Book inside Hueco Mundo’s library.
- Stage 3 – Trial: Go to Menos Forest, meditate at the sword above the hole to enter the White Hollow Labyrinth. Avoid the Shadow Adjucha, find your blue-eyed Inner Hollow, watch the cutscene, and unlock Full Res.
Segunda Etapa
- Be at least Lesser Vastocar (e.g., use 7 Hogyoku Fragments).
- Return to the Menos Forest sword and accept the quest.
- Grip 20 players in powerful modes (Bankai, Full Res, Segunda, or Vollständig) to unlock.
Quincy
Ranged spiritual combat that culminates in Vollständig. Expect a familiar three-stage structure.
Vollständig – Three-stage path
- Stage 1 – Wins: collect raid/ranked/clan wins (same tracking behavior as other paths).
- Stage 2 – No-death objectives: complete a set of Elite grips, one World Boss, and required faction NPC eliminations without dying. Use the in‑game tracker and mentor dialog to verify.
- Stage 3 – Trial: meditate to enter the Quincy trial/maze area and complete the encounter to unlock Vollständig.
Tip: Save your mode and mobility skills for the maze segment; bring team help for boss objectives.
Fullbringer
Fullbringer progression is more direct at the start: reach Grade 2, unlock your Fullbring, then continue mission grinding until you are ready for higher-end passives and sub-modes.
Fullbring – Early unlock path
- Reach Grade 2: complete mission board tasks in Fake Karakura until the Fullbring questline opens.
- Talk to Elek Ginjo: speak with the NPC in Fake Karakura to begin the mandatory Fullbring unlock.
- Fill the meditation bar: meditate until the right-side bar is full, then meditate again to enter your Innerworld.
- Clear the four-wave trial: beat three Fishbones/Friskers, then a Menos plus two Fishbones, then three more Fishbones/Friskers, then one Adjucha.
- Push to endgame: continue missions after the unlock, then look for True Hogyoku-based sub-mode progression if you want the advanced Fullbringer passives shown on the official Trello.
Tip: The trial includes small health packs between waves, so focus on survival and clean spacing instead of rushing for risky trades.

Progression FAQ
Do I need Grade 2 for every path?
Yes for Shikai, Partial Res, and Fullbring. Quincy follows a similar early requirement pattern. Aim for Grade 2, then start your unlock steps.
Do Karakura raids count for Bankai?
Karakura Town raids typically do not count. Clan wars can count as 2, ranked wins as 0.5. Use the Karakura progress NPC to confirm.
What resets my Stage 2 progress?
Dying during the no‑death objective set will reset that stage. Consider grouping and playing safe.
Where do I check progression?
For wins, talk to the “V - Unequalled, Unrivaled” NPC in Karakura. For step details, speak to your spirit/mentor or check the respective in‑world book/library.
Any combat tips?
Use crowd control and mobility for boss phases; bring friends for world bosses and grips; stock healing and mode resources.
